Easy Hummus

Ingredients

  • 1 cup well cooked chick peas (if this is your first time making hummus then consider a can of chick peas)
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • pinch of salt (only if have cooked chick peas yourself – if can of chick peas is used then don’t add salt)

Instructions

  • Crush garlic into a pinch of salt
  • Put garlic, salt, chick peas and tahini in food processor and whiz together
  • Gradually add water (until the consistency is right) and lemon juice alternately with olive oil and whizz until smooth
  • Serve with chopped parsley and olive oil or sprinkle with paprika
