Easy Hummus
Ingredients
- 1 cup well cooked chick peas (if this is your first time making hummus then consider a can of chick peas)
- 1/3 cup tahini
- 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
- juice of half a lemon
- 2 cloves garlic
- pinch of salt (only if have cooked chick peas yourself – if can of chick peas is used then don’t add salt)
Instructions
- Crush garlic into a pinch of salt
- Put garlic, salt, chick peas and tahini in food processor and whiz together
- Gradually add water (until the consistency is right) and lemon juice alternately with olive oil and whizz until smooth
- Serve with chopped parsley and olive oil or sprinkle with paprika
